Windows 98

The Windows 98 operating system was more integrated with the Internet than Windows 95.

For example, Windows 98 included Microsoft Inter Explorer, a popular Web browser.

The Windows 98 file manager, called Windows Explorer, also had a Web browser look and feel.

With Windows 98, you could have an Active Desktop interface, which allowed you to set up Windows so icons on the desktop and file names in Windows Explorer worked similar to Web links.
